Beloved Bat Boy to be Honored at 2025 Summer Tournament
Kaiser Carlile was more than just a bat boy spending a week of his precious summer in Wichita. He was the joy of the diamond, the spirit of the sport, the very energy that makes baseball great. Before players made the trek from the dugout to the batter’sbox, Kaiser would remind them to clear their minds and remember the most important things: “Play Hard, Have Fun and WIN!”
Tragically, in 2015, while serving as a bat boy for the Liberal Bee Jays, Kaiser was struck by a bat and later passed away from his injury. He was ten years old.
As the 91st NBC World Series sets to swing into action this summer, we reflect on the ten years since we lost Kaiser and celebrate the joy and passion he instilled in the game and this tournament.
Kaiser will be honored at the NBC World Series’ biggest night: Championship Night at Equity Bank Park on August 2. Special fundraising activations will take place throughout the night in Kaiser’s honor, raising money for youth sports clinics, camps, scholarships, and other community initiatives that embody Kaiser’s positivity and infectious enthusiasm for the game of baseball.
Join us on Championship Night on Saturday, August 2nd, to honor Kaiser’s legacy alongside his family. Tickets are available at nbcbaseball.com.
