Home Runs for Teachers

We partnered with Kansas Strong for “Home Runs for Teachers”, an initiative dedicated to empowering educators across Kansas.
This program provided a unique way for the NBC World Series to give back to the community and support those who inspire the next generation.
Thank you to all Kansas teachers who registered and entered to win!

Congratulations to our Home Runs for Teachers winner: Tammy G!
Tammy is a teacher located in Wichita, Kansas, who won $4,400 for her classroom!
“I would use some of the funds to help support my low-level reading students by buying reading material for them to read at home and at school. I would also use some of the money to help with behavior management and provide items for our school store.”
During the 2025 NBC World Series, 26 home runs were hit – 2 of which were walkoffs.

How it Works
“Home Runs for Teachers” creates a direct impact on classrooms through the excitement of the NBC World Series baseball:
- Growing the Pot: For every home run hit throughout the entire NBC World Series, Kansas Strong generously adds $100 to a special prize pot.
- Walk-Off Bonus: If a walk-off home run is hit, a significant $1,000 will be added to the pot, increasing the potential impact!
- Prize Cap: The total prize pot for the winning teacher is capped at $5,500.
- Supporting Education: At the end of the World Series, one lucky teacher will be randomly drawn from all registered participants to receive the accumulated funds for their classroom.
Teachers across Kansas were invited to register for a chance to win these funds for their classroom!
