WICHITA, Kan. — The National Baseball Congress (NBC) World Series, powered by Evergy, is proud to announce that nominations are now open for the 2026 Terry Brewster Community Volunteer All-Star Award, presented by Midwest Hearing Aids.
Named in honor of the late Terry Brewster—a dedicated community leader, entrepreneur, and longtime NBC board member—the award recognizes individuals who demonstrate a selfless commitment to improving the Wichita area. This annual tradition celebrates those who give their time and talent to local non-profits, schools, churches, and community organizations, echoing the spirit of service that defined Terry’s legacy.
Nomination Process: Nominations are open to volunteers from any local charitable or non-profit organization. The service does not need to be sports-related. Community members are encouraged to nominate deserving individuals who have made a significant impact over the past year. Nominations can be submitted at nbcbaseball.com/terry-brewster-award
Award Details & Recognition: Winners of the Terry Brewster Community Volunteer All-Star Award will be honored during a feature game at the 92nd NBC World Series, which will be held July 23-August 1 in Wichita. Honorees will receive:
- Four (4) tickets to an NBC World Series game to enjoy with friends and family.
- On-field recognition during the game.
- A unique commemorative award presented by Boeing, crafted from an airplane window to symbolize Wichita’s heritage as the “Air Capital of the World.”
2026 Award Timeline:
