NBC Announces 2025 Terry Brewster Community Volunteer All-Star Award Winners

WICHITA, KS – The National Baseball Congress (NBC) is proud to announce the recipients of the 2025 Terry Brewster Community Volunteer All-Star Award. After careful consideration, the NBC Baseball Foundation Terry Brewster Committee selected twenty-one exceptional volunteers who have been selected for their outstanding service to non-profit organizations throughout the Greater Wichita Area.

The 2025 Terry Brewster Community Volunteer All-Star Award winners are:

Monica Barton, Jeri Brungardt, Kaci Conger, Cindy Coughenour, Elena Davidson, Nikki Epley, Dennis Fontelroy, Wendy Glick, Vicki Hardaway, Teketa Harding, Dianne Hillard, Mel Hussey, Monica Ingalls, Martha Linsner, Gayle Malone, Cathy Morris, Alejandro Pineda, Col. Richard Powell, Deb Shirkey, Zagid Suarez, Frank Williams, and Ben Woodworth.

These remarkable individuals represent the very best of community spirit, having dedicated countless hours to supporting local organizations and making a meaningful difference in the lives of their fellow citizens. Their selfless contributions embody the values and legacy of Terry Brewster, whose deep commitment to Wichita sports and community service continues to inspire others.

Each award recipient will receive four complimentary tickets to an NBC World Series game, where their exceptional volunteer service will be recognized and celebrated before the community. The presentation will take place during the 91st NBC World Series, powered by Evergy, which runs from July 24th to August 2nd, 2025.

The 91st NBC World Series will be held primarily at Eck Stadium on the campus of Wichita State University, with Championship Night returning downtown to Equity Bank Park. The NBC World Series stands as one of the nation’s longest-running sporting events and the premier summer collegiate national championship, boasting over 900 alumni who have advanced to Major League Baseball.

The Terry Brewster Community Volunteer All-Star Award was established to honor the memory and legacy of Terry Brewster, a dedicated supporter and former board member of the NBC. The award recognizes outstanding volunteers from community organizations and non-profits, continuing Terry’s tradition of supporting those who generously donate their time, talents, and resources to uplift others.
