Baseball ‘Round The Clock
Thank you for being a part of Baseball ‘Round the Clock
We had 169 participants and 87 finishers in 2024.
One of the most well-known and celebrated traditions of the NBC World Series has always been Baseball ‘Round The Clock. The brainchild of former NBC tournament director Steve Shaad, BRTC featured 17 games played in 56 hours when it first started. After an eight-year hiatus, Baseball ‘Round the Clock returns to the NBC World Series in 2024 with 11 straight games played over the course of 33 hours.
How it works
Games were played back-to-back from noon on Saturday, July 27 through a 6:00 pm game on Sunday, July 28 – a total of 11 games in 33 hours.
To be eligible for any of the prizes associated with Baseball ‘Round the Clock, participants purchased a BRTC ticket ($20), or as tournament pass holders emailed tickets@nbcbaseball.com to add BRTC to their pass for $10.
All participants must signed a waiver and agreed to the rules & regulations prior to the first game to be eligible.
If you completed every check-in during BRTC within the assigned timeframe, you received a BRTC shirt, a tournament pass for the rest of the week, and won a free Coleman cooler.

HistorY
Overnight baseball has long been a tradition of the NBC World Series. National Baseball Congress founder Hap Dumont came up with the idea of having late-night and early-morning games in the tournament to make games accessible to Wichita fans working swing and graveyard shifts and tournament director Steve Shaad formalized the tradition in 1990 with the introduction of ‘Baseball ‘Round the Clock” as 17 games in 56 hours. BRTC ran every year after that at the NBC World Series through 2016 before coming to a halt. It returns in 2024 as 11 games in 33 hours.
