WICHITA, Kansas – Get ready, baseball fans! The beloved Baseball ‘Round the Clock (BRTC), a unique and enduring tradition of the National Baseball Congress World Series, Powered by Evergy, in Wichita, is returning for its 2025 edition. After a successful return in 2024 following an eight-year hiatus, fans will once again have the opportunity to participate in a marathon of baseball, watching 11 games in 33 thrilling hours from noon on Saturday, July 26th, through a 6:00 pm game on Sunday, July 27th.
A Beloved Tradition Returns
This exciting and unique event has historically been a highlight for many fans, and after a fantastic turnout in 2024 for the 90th tournament, the tradition continues. Fans, both new and returning, can look forward to this one-of-a-kind baseball experience, complete with the Midnight Madness atmosphere and the coveted ‘I survived’ shirts.
The History of Overnight Baseball at the NBC
The tradition of all-night baseball at NBC dates back to the vision of National Baseball Congress founder Hap Dumont, who introduced late-night and early-morning games early in the tournament’s history to make it accessible to Wichita’s swing and graveyard shift workers. NBC tournament director Steve Shaad formalized this into ‘Baseball ‘Round the Clock’ in 1990, featuring an incredible 17 games in 56 hours. BRTC became an annual staple of the NBC World Series through 2016 before taking a break and making its celebrated return last year.
2025 Marathon of Baseball
Prepare for 33 straight hours of action, featuring 11 games from noon on Saturday, July 26th, through the evening of Sunday, July 27th. To participate in this unique event, fans will need a dedicated BRTC ticket or an add-on to their tournament pass. Upon entry, participants will receive a punch card and wristband for check-ins that will occur at least once per game. By checking in at the designated location within the announced 10-minute window for every game, you’ll earn the coveted “I Survived Baseball ‘Round the Clock” t-shirt and be entered into a raffle for a series of exciting prizes!
