The El Dorado (KS) Broncos jumped out to an early 0-2 lead with a bases clearing triple in the bottom of the first inning by outfield Travis Whipple. The Southern California Bombers would cut that lead in half the next inning with a bases loaded hit batsman. The Broncos added two more runs in the bottom half of the second with a triple by outfielder Dorian Williams to extend the lead to 1-4. That was all Broncos pitcher Justin Lindsey would need. Lindsey gave up two runs and spread five hits over eight innings, while striking out eight on his way to a victory. The Broncos would add one more run in the bottom of the eighth to secure a 2-5 win over Southern Cal.
