The Gunnison Colts came out on top of the Derby (KS) Twins in todays 1:00 PM game. From start to finish this game was a hitters dream with Derby out-hitting Gunnison but came up short in the end, 13-10. The player of the game has to go to Gunnison’s Tyree Abshire who went 2-3 with a double, a 3 run home run, 2 base on balls, and 4 RBI‘s. Also, Abshire scored 3 runs in the contest reaching base all 5 times he came up to the plate. Perry Bradshaw notched a win for Gunnison going 1 2/3 inning with 0 runs, 2 strikeouts and 2 walks. Matt Kretchmer received the loss going 3 1/3 allowing 7 hits, 6 runs (all earned), 1 strike out and 2 walks. Gunnison Colts move on to game 52 which will be played on Sunday the 9th and Derby moves to the losers bracket game 46 which will be played on Saturday the 8th. Written by Zach Taylor.
