The first game in day three at the NBC World Series was a beauty; that is, if you enjoy great pitching and defensive play. Pitchers for both teams threw complete games but it was the San Antonio Titans who carved out a victory over the Newton Rebels 1-0. The game remained scoreless until the ninth inning when Titans catcher Ryan Morrow hit a sacrifice fly to center field and sent Drew Hamilton in for the winning run. The Rebels are eliminated from the tournament and the victory moves the Titans on to face the loser of the game between the Rock City (NC) Red Sox and the Crestwood (IL) Panthers.
