The Springfield-Ozark (MO) Generals collected 12 hits and took advantage of five errors in a 9-3 win over the Anchorage (AK) Glacier Pilots as the 10th day of play in the 74th National Baseball Congress World Series concluded.
BJ Underkofler led four Generals with two hits; Underkofler scored three runs and drove in one. Cooper Page went the distance for Ozark (3-0), scattering eight hits and striking out 11.
The Generals became the last of four teams still undefeated in the NBC World Series, and will face Santa Barbara (CA) in Monday's 7:30 feature game. Beatrice (NE) and Seattle (WA) are the other two; they will play in the scheduled 10 p.m. game.
Antwonie Hubbard struck out 10 in 4 2/3 innings but took the loss, allowing four runs, but only two were earned. Luke Yoder had a two-run single in the ninth for the Glacier Pilots (2-1), who wil play the winner between Junction City (KS) and Maxim (CA) Tuesday.
